War against Cancer

There seems to be a constant battle against cancer, as is evident from the various news we hear and see, periodically. While we are able to control and cure cancer to an extent, we still appear to be waiting for a breakthrough in prevention.

But the news of increased radiation through cell phone towers, prolonged interaction with cell phone seem to create some excitements and recently the spread of bacteria through the ATM keyboards is also opening other doors. It is reported that the ATM kiosks and the touch screens are viewed with suspicion as these were found to contain virus and germs normally found on toilet seats. It is also reported that some faecal bacteria is found in the pre-packaged batter normally used for instant food and the origin is suspected to be the use of unclean water. One hopes that such relentless battle from all sides could very soon lead to good news on this front.

While there is a hunt for the hitherto unknown cause, let us from our part refrain from inviting this dreaded disease, by abhorring cigarettes and alcohol.
